The Sinatra Years
With the Jim Barry Quintet
Wows Audiences!
The Sinatra Years is probably the only show in the universe with the name ‘Sinatra’ in the title that does not attempt to be a lookalike or soundalike show!
After all, as Tony often points out, would anyone in their right mind pay good money to see an exhibition of fake Rembrandts?!
And indeed it is not just the great man who is celebrated in this fast moving, fun-packed concert. Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Al Jolson, Harry James, Artie Shaw, Perry Como, Bobby Darin and Tommy Dorsey are all remembered – as are the songwriters such as Cole Porter and Irving Berlin.
Superb Musicians
The Jim Barry Quintet comprises some of the UK’s finest musical talent.
Special guest on saxophone, clarinet and flute is Sue Greenway. A superb musician (as well as being the only glamour in the show!) Sue has played with the RAF Squadronnaires, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, the BBC Big Band and is regularly seen in the orchestras of some of the top West End shows. On guitar is Len Walker who has played with Nelson Riddle, Peggy Lee, Bing Crosby and Jack Jones.
Directing from the piano is Tony’s regular and indispensable accompanist, Jim Barry who, for many years was principal keyboardist with the BBC Radio Band and who has played with people as diverse as Harry Secombe, Vera Lynn, and Dizzy Gillespie!
And on drums and double bass we make sure we get the best available – because a great show like this deserves the best!

Dear Tony
Just writing to thank you for yet another hugely successful and wonderful concert – The Sinatra Years – last week. It was so marvellous to see the theatre packed to the rafters, and the audience enjoying themselves so thoroughly. The way you blend the top class music with anecdotes and humour makes this one of the best touring shows…So I’m delighted to offer you a return date, same time next year! We already have patrons asking when tickets will be on sale!
Thanks again.
